**October Schedule**

October 1: Honors Choir Auditions (Longwood University-Farmville, VA).

 

October 11: Chorus Fall Concert (Freshman Choir and Varsity Singers)-7:30 in the Auditorium (Rehearsal Monday the 10th 4-5:30; 6:15 p.m. call on the 11th, warm-up in chorus room at 6:30)

 

October 13: Relay for Life Concert (Chamber Singers, Band and Orchestra)-7:00 in the Auditorium (Rehearsal in Auditorium 12th 4-5:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. call on the 13th, warm-up at 5:45)

 

October 15: Walk-A-Thon



 
General Parents Chorus Meeting
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND at 7:00 p.m. in the Chorus Room.
 
This meeting is designed to inform parents of all upcoming events for the 2011-2012 school year.
 
The Chorus dresses/tuxedos have arrived. The attire can be picked up at the General Meeting on Thursday. The dresses/tuxedos must be paid in full before they can be picked up. If you are unable to attend the meeting please let me know and we will arrange another pick up time.
 
We hope to see all parents on Thursday. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Congratulations to Jason I. and Courtney J. who were selected to represent GFHS at the 2010 VA Honors Choir.

National Honors Choir

Congratulations to Jason I. and Lindsay B. who were selected to represent GFHS at the 2011 ACDA National Honors Choir in Chicago.

Virgina All-State Choir

Congratulations to Grace M., Matt S., Jason I., Courtney J. and Alexa S. who were selected to represent GFHS at the 2011 VA All-State Choir.
